What is PNF, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation?

Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) is an advanced form of flexibility training used to increase an athlete’s range of motion in order to optimize performance. Many runners often experience tight hamstrings, so I felt this video would be relevant to enhance sports performance. The instructor does an excellent job explaining the technique and I never realized that you shouldn't stretch your hamstring with your opposite leg bent.
