Google's Mountain View-based Googleplex is a whopping 3.1 million square feet-that's almost half the size of the Pentagon, and enough space for 53 football fields, side by side. But its architecture is uninspired, consisting of the anonymously functional buildings you'd see in any suburban commercial park.

The 3.1 million sq FT building is half the size of the pentagon. Google is upgrading to a new facility, and this is big news in the tech world, however the design of the building is the true story. It is able to fit 53 football fields. Googles announcement to build this facility comes after facebook, and apple decided to build complexes too. | This is directly related to SOIC because Google is the one of the biggest tech companies globally. This announcement is huge and will make google an even more advanced, company, they are also competing with other large tech companies to accommodate employees and provide a great work environment. 02-25-2015 9:09am
