I thought it was very helpful because I got to understand and learn more about habitation and perceptual development. We learned in class that  habituation can affect this learning process in different ways and there are many studies of infant perceptual development have relied on the concept of habituation. The video went more in depth on perceptual development; referring  to the development of the five senses: sight, sound, taste, touch, and smell. I found it interesting that an infant can hear and react to sounds while still in the womb. I also found it interesting that at the time of birth  an infant can distinguish his mother's scent. Its quiet fascinating that the infant can even tell the difference between his mother's breast milk and formula or another mother's breast milk. Overall, I thought this video helped me clarify what we learned in class about habitation. 10-08-2015 6:18pm
