Some of the benefits are reducing the risk of injuries later on in life, better sports performance, improvement in self-esteem and confidence, and overall better health. In our book it mentioned that boys gain more muscle mass in adolescence than girls do. Normally, boys undergo a spurt of increased strength at the age of 13. I also learned that the cultural norms can influence the strength difference between the sexes through habitual physical activity. I thought this article was very interesting and it was bias on the topic it gave evidence for both pros and cons. 11-08-2015 10:22pm
