Sport Psychology - Athletic Insight

This article discusses the mental aspect that athletes go through to prepare their bodies for their practices and their competitions. Being able to focus on key factors that pertain to the success of your sport can help to improve the athletes performance. When I was competing in division 1 swimming, we were taught to visualize our races prior to the event to prepare our bodies for the actual race, and it more often then not helped to improve race times. The mind is a very powerful tool that can be used to benefit performance.
