The traditional view of masculinity is the idea that men should be providers, protectors, and contain these guarded behaviors of competitiveness, risk takers, and aggression. It sets a metaphorically map of which men guide through in navigating through man hood. Society in a sense has redefined masculinity and the question is, "is it really valid?" "should men show emotions?" "is it okay to be addicted to selfies?" This is all important to consider because rather than being driven by the domination of others based on gender, race, culture, religion, or sexual preference, you can create your own map, advocate equality, and even redefine your definition of masculinity. 04-07-2016 1:13pm

This Ted Talk is really helpful towards myself and the rest of men in society, even women. Redefining masculinity is the first step in creating helpful and less debilitating trends to meet cultural masculinity desires. 04-12-2016 2:14pm
