As we did discuss obesity, exercise, and weight in lecture this following week, it seems necessary to see how some of these topics intertwine and connect towards the bigger pictures. It has already been mentioned in class about how obesity is curable and can be prevented. However, what are the correct ways of preventing and curing? There are several levels of where someone can stand as far as obesity. In many severe cases, extreme measure must be taken and individuals may need to restrict their diet to very small amounts of calories (very-low-calorie diets). But is this healthy? According to U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES, it is extremely cautioned and warned to have medical supervision. It is also noted that people report symptoms of gallstones, fatigue, and even nausea. It was mentioned that most people should refer to a "low calorie diet" due to the fact that does not have such serious health risks and does not need medical attention. This is crucial since most people find websites and articles from outside sources that can pose as scams and get people in risky situations.
