Better Moods for Better Eating?: How Mood Influences Food Choice

Previous research has shown that one's mood affects what he or she eats. This study investigates the relationship between mood and long-term/abstract goals versus short-term goals and how this relationship in turn impacts food consumption.

This article explains how studies show that when one is in a more negative mood, they tend to choose more indulgent foods. When one is in a better mood, they tend to eat healthier.  Eating unhealthy can lead to an even worse mood, and eating healthy will help continue one's good mood. 02-23-2017 1:13pm
