During lab we completed the Cooper test, a 12 minute run to around a track (or gym) to see how far you run. The Cooper test is something that is very familiar with me because I played soccer for 12 years and every year we would do this test at least 4 times. For the longest time I thought the Cooper test was a running test made for soccer athletes and not a test that is used in all disciplines of fitness to test VO2 sub-max. The article attached discusses how the Cooper test became a traditional test for soccer athletes.
