Why we walk and run vs. hopping and skipping

This article shows a video and kind of explains why it is more efficient to walk from place to place instead of hopping. I believe the reason from walking in a situation as a presentation is because in that event, you need to be calm and professional. When you hop and skip, it is taking more energy and you may start to sweat which is not necessarily professional to be out of breath and sweating in the middle of a speech.

And that not only is it not a very suitable means of transportation, it is also inefficient to do anything other than walk/jog/run. Things like skipping, galloping, etc. use too much energy and are really not helpful to us for just getting around. So like the article says, the best thing to do is walk/jog/run. 10-06-2017 8:08am

This is an interesting item to post, but I like it. I like how it talks about efficiencies behind our different motor movements and why some are better in certain circumstances. 10-08-2017 6:18pm
