Week #10 Violence

Violence in Mexico is widespread and no longer isolated to a few states. It's hitting cities once untouched by Mexico's drug war, like tourist hot spot Los Cabos. MARY LOUISE KELLY, HOST: August was another violent month in Mexico. That says - this year, the death toll has reached the highest level in more than two decades.

Over the last two decades we have seen a decline in crime and violence (that is being reported at least)  but in recent times, the rates are higher than they have been in almost 20 years. What is causing this spike in violence? The Drug War, tourist accessibility, and Cartels are some of the reasons that come to mind to understand what is truly happening. 10-30-2017 11:11am
