Are Online Relationships Healthy?

This article shows the difference in how children and teenagers find and maintain friendships in today's society. There is extreme caution about children going to a park or downtown by themselves, so the most logical way for children to have relationships is online. This creates a system by which short messages are encouraged rather than long conversations, so the relationships young people are forming tends to be more superficial. In class we talked about relationships mostly as in-person relationships, but today more relationships are being maintained online, so it's interesting to see the effects that has on people.
