Clinical Exercises to Treat Rotator Cuff Injuries

This video does a pretty solid job of showing the typical rehabilitative process for rotator cuff injuries. Many of these exercises are similar to the types of exercise that I typically use to help rehabilitate a rotation cuff injury. One thing about rotator cuff injuries, is their ability to be fleeting in some cases. There are certain positions where the individual may have absolutely no pain conducting an internal rotation, however, when you change the angle of the internal rotation, the pain reappears. When it comes down to rehabilitating a rotator cuff injury, you must be highly specific with the angles in which you are working to ensure that you are not creating pain, as well as targeting the muscles that have been compromised.

This video was helpful to me in that it shows a couple of resistance exercises for rotator cuff injury. It is helpful to know that resistance against abduction is ok in treatment, but is harmful at heavier weight. 10-21-2018 1:13pm
